National Teaching Council (NTC) Quizzed with 10 Thought-Provoking Questions – 100,000 Teachers.

This clearly is a ploy to deduct the cpd allowance in the name of organizing cpd workshops for members.

1. Why should NTC issued license in October 2020 but train the district director who are to award points in July 2022? How was NTC expecting this directors to award points to Teachers when they are not trained?

2. By NTC’s guidelines, heads of schools are to be given the authority to award points to SBI workshops, as we speak, no head Teacher has that power.

3. What happened to all the workshops organized by GES since 2020? Where are the points?

4. What happens to all the PLC Teachers who attended over the stated periods? Why is it that no points were given by the Directors?

5. What happened to the CPD workshops Teachers attended since 2020? Where are the points?

6. In NTC’s guidelines, Teachers with additional responsibilities such as class teachers, sports Teachers, SHEP coordinators, girl child coordinators, and others attract points. Where are those points?

7. In NTC guidelines, been a member of Teacher unions attract points. Is NTC saying that no Teacher in Ghana belongs to union?

8. What about marking and invigilation? Are there no points on them?

9. The refusal of our employer and or their reps is what NTC should be concerned with. Blaming Teachers who are not responsible for awarding points to themselves is very disturbing.

10. The Teachers have done their part by attending all workshops organized by GES and other relevant bodies since 2020. What is left is for the NTC to authorize those bodies including GES to award points to all those workshops.

Today’s Teachers are much awake and won’t sit quietly for those who refused to award points to Teachers to come back and speak as if the teacher is the one causing their problem.
