I Still Stand by “Nana Toaso” – Sarkodie

Ghanaian rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that he still stands by his support for the current administration.

Sarkodie, during the 2020 elections, released the ‘’Happy Day’’song  in support of Nana Akufo-Addo and the ruling New Patriotic Party.

In an interview with 3Musiv TV, sarkodie stated that he still stands by his support for the President and his government because he has benefitted directly from some of their campaign promises.

Where as he has come under major criticism for throwing his weight against the party and keeping mute on the current economic crisis under the same government, the B.E.T award-winning rapper states he still stands by his support.

“What I said he [Nana Addo] should ‘’toaso’’, I still stand by it because I think I benefited from free education directly and I have the right to say I endorse that because this is directly. My mum has these girls we have been supporting. At first, she would call asking me to help. I am not saying it is much but just the fact that I am not even hearing that, it came from that place, and I was specific about what I was endorsing,’’ he stated
